In the mid 90's, a research and development company located north of Montreal discovered collagen's virtues as a dietary supplement. These researchers developed various formulas in collaboration with laboratories with very high technological standards of manufacturing. These formulas were quickly appreciated by the natural health community. In October 2000, a new laboratory, DirectLab Inc. , was created and Genacol made its debut onto the market. Under Guy Michaud's presidency, DirectLab Inc. Is a biotechnology laboratory producing highly developed formulas using a unique process called: AminoLock Sequence Technology.
In February 2008, the Genacol Instant topical gel containing Genacol micro beads entered the market after three years of research and development in isolating Genacol in order to maximize its properties and efficiency.
